NZ OLDEST WINERY IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S BEST

New Zealand’s oldest winery, Mission Estate, has been selected to appear at Wine Explorers’ Grand Annual Tasting 2016 with its Jewelstone Syrah 2013.
As part of a four-year inventory project, now in its third year, the Wine Explorers have visited 250 winegrowing regions across 92 countries, tasting more than 15000 wines from a total of 1500 vineyards. From their 2015 travels, they have selected 35 wines from 14 countries (two of which from NZ) to appear at the Grand Annual Tasting 2016 in Paris.
“This event was particularly poignant for us given our French heritage,” said Peter Holley, CEO of Mission Estate. “It was French Marist Missionaries who established Mission Estate back in 1851.”
