CHANGES TO LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

Foodstuffs North Island has announced that it will be making changes to its senior leadership structure to serve its 1.3 million customers across New Zealand better.

The announcement includes a newly created GM Membership and Property role, which will combine the previous GM Retail and GM Property roles and teams into one and report directly to the CEO. This change is a strong signal of how essential the customer’s needs have become.  Lindsay Rowles, currently FSNI GM Property, will be taking on this new role from Monday 1 October.

“Lindsay is passionate about doing things smarter for our customers and business. He has been with Foodies since 2016, and in that time has reset our property and network strategy to drive our next generation of retail,” said FSNI CEO Chris Quin.

After recent staffing changes, Foodstuffs took the opportunity to review its leadership team structure which included the departure of previous GM Retail Doug Cochrane leaving his role to begin the journey to store ownership within Foodstuffs.

“The new Membership and Property team will be responsible for partnering with our stores to support them in delivering the very best customer experiences,” said Quin.

“FSNI has been serving customers for nearly 100 years, and we’re well on the way to setting ourselves up for the next 100.  Changes like this will ensure that we are future-fit and ready to help New Zealanders get more out of life.”
