A butcher from Gore has caused quite the stir with the creation of sausages made from Double Brown beer. The beer-infused sausages have proven to be very popular with the southland butcher having to limit purchases to just one per customer.
Riversdale Meats butcher, Daniel Butler, is an avid Double Brown fan and so decided to add his favourite brew to his sausage recipe. “I thought it would be quite funny because I didn’t think anyone drunk it. I do. I always have cos it’s cheap, and I get a bit of a hard time about it.”
With the Double Browns proving to be such a hit with customers, Butler is now looking to create other unique and delicious flavours.
