Whittaker’s has perfected a new caramel filling and is releasing two new caramel products. As well as pairing the new creamier, smoother and more velvety caramel with Whittaker’s 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk Chocolate, Whittaker’s has also created a 62% Dark Salted Caramel.
Whittaker’s Marketing Manager Jasmine Currie said Whittaker’s has spent nearly three years trialling 59 different recipes to create the perfect caramel filling used in these two products and eagerly anticipates feedback from Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers and all fans of caramel-filled chocolate.
“We think our more buttery, melt-in-the-mouth caramel filling is absolutely delicious and, combined with being encased in Whittaker’s chocolate, we hope it will become a firm favourite of the many kiwis who love caramel-filled chocolate.
“Whittaker’s 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk chocolate complements the smooth caramel filling perfectly, for those seeking the classic caramel experience; while the Dark Salted Caramel is something completely new and responds to calls we’ve had from our Whittaker’s Dark Chocolate Lovers,” said Currie.
To celebrate Whittaker’s new caramel creations, top Auckland restaurant Culprit, which hosted a caramel-inspired “night of indulgence” launch event for Whittaker’s on 9 May, has introduced a Whittaker’s caramel-inspired dessert to its menu. This special dessert will be available exclusively at Culprit for the remainder of May.
In addition, celebrity foodie and Whittaker’s Chocolate Lover, Nigella Lawson, will feature in an exciting new TVC to support the launch of Whittaker’s new caramel products and showcase its relentless focus on quality. The TVC, which was filmed at various locations in and around Auckland in March, will air from 13 May.
