Melbourne based company, High Tea with Harriet has won Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 2018 Australian International Tea Expo. The family-owned business scooped up a total of four Golden Leaf Awards, winning prizes in both the black and green tea categories with their premium loose-leaf offerings.
The company’s black tea, Melbourne Moments scored top prize followed by High Tea with Harriet’s Earl Grey which took out the silver award. The Bronze awards went to the brand’s Irish breakfast tea – Elevenses and its Chinese Sencha green tea – Rising Sun.
“We’re honoured that our teas have been recognised, and we’re thrilled to represent Australian family-owned businesses,” said founder and director Amy McCaffery. “We launched High Tea with Harriet with the aim of creating a range of premiums quality teas, designed for tea lovers. After years of frustration with the quality of tea service in cafes and restaurants, we are very proud to make premium loose-leaf tea more accessible across Australia and beyond.”
Launched in 2013, High Tea with Harriet has seen rapid expansion and now producers over 20 varieties.
