FARMERS STILL SATISFIED WITH THEIR BANKS

A recent Federated Farmers banking survey has revealed that 81 percent of all farmers and 79 percent of dairy farmers are ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with their banks, while 9.7 of farmers have started to feel ‘undue pressure’ regarding their mortgage.
“Banks remain committed to supporting their farming customers, and they will continue working closely with dairy farmers and share milkers to help support the viability of their businesses,” said Karen Scott-Howman, chief executive of New Zealand Bankers’ Association. “Regular two-way communication is vital in times of financial pressure. We encourage farmers to continue talking with their banks early and often about budget planning, managing cash flow and the assistance that may be available to them.”
