FROZEN FOOD INTERNATIONAL MEET-UP

Frozen foods are convenient and offer an affordable way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. In fact, people who opt for frozen foods might actually have a better diet than most because they make a variety of foods, including exotic ones, accessible. They offer irrefutable advantages like freshness, taste, hassle-free preparation and long shelf-life, all without the need to add preservatives. In light of its rapidly growing significance, Anuga Frozen Food, a leading exhibitor, is once again organising an international trade show in Cologne, Germany that will act as a centralised business platform for the suppliers and trade buyers of the frozen food industry.

The show will be held between 5-9 October 2019, with 600 companies showcasing a wide range of products and services, not just to the retailers but also the rapidly growing foodservice segment. The exhibition is slated to draw close to 7,500 exhibitors throughout the five days, with joint participation from countries like Belgium, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Thailand and Turkey.

This event will also draw attention to a range of products from Anuga Meat and Anuga Bread & Bakery, including fish, meats, fruits, vegetables, ready-made meals and bulk packs from the communal catering and food-service sectors. The exhibition stand of The German Frozen Food Institute, exclusive partners of the organisers since 2013, will act as a focal point of contact for the industry in Germany and also play a key role in presenting current shopper trends in the frozen food segment. The most significant trend is that of healthy yet convenient foods. Various frozen food innovations in the form of organic, vegan, vegetarian and free-from products, especially meat substitutes, which have made previously inconceivable healthier alternatives very much a reality, will be on display for consumers.
