MULTINATIONAL COFFEE GIANT TO BUY BREW GROUP

International coffee and tea company Jacob Douwe Egberts (JDE) has agreed to buy 100 percent of all Brew Group shares. According to Mark Hamilton, CEO of Brew Group, the offer is currently sitting with the Overseas Investment Office, but a decision is expected by the end of the year. No problems are anticipated as part of the process. In the meantime, it will be business as usual for both Brew Group and DE Coffee and Tea New Zealand.
JDE is the largest pure-play FMCG coffee company in the world and is part of the JAB Holding Company’s portfolio, a privately held group focused on long-term investments in companies with premium brands.
