A line of sachets designed to add flavour to soups, stews, sauces or marinades is to be released by Israeli start-up The Mushroom Benefit.
The patent-pending Cuisine Bags will be available in three flavours: classic, Italian, and Asian.
CEO Mira Weigensberg said, “Our product is vegan-friendly, contains zero sugar and sodium, and no added MSG or artificial colouring or flavouring; it only contains natural ingredients. Moreover, the mushrooms’ umami factor significantly lowers the need to enhance savoury flavour with salt.”
The Cuisine Bags are made of 100% wholly biodegradable corn fibre and come in packets of five.
The product will launch at New York’s Summer Fancy Foods Show in June.
