NO UGLY LIGHTS UP AUCKLAND

Wellness brand No Ugly has teamed up with Victoria Park New World to create an eye-catching sustainable art installation as part of the iconic Franklin Road Christmas lights display. The installation will provide much needed free entertainment for the entire month of December.

Created by Angus Muir Design, the installation is made using 680 glass bottles from No Ugly’s wellness tonics. The recycled amber bottles are then fit into a pine wood backboard with festive coloured LED lights to spell the word #NOUGLY.

No Ugly co-founder, Aaron Taylor, said that he hopes the installation will make people stop and think about how they can cut down their festive footprint and think differently this holiday season. “At No Ugly, we’re about encouraging a behaviour change. We’re trying to get people to rethink what they do with their waste because this is the time of year, we should be more mindful about reuse, recycling and rewarding ourselves in a positive way.”

No Ugly is committed to sustainability offering a number of eco-friendly options. For every No Ugly Swappa Crate returned for recycling, No Ugly donates a lunch to Eat My Lunch. The amber glass of No Ugly bottles means they can be recycled back into the amber glass instead of going to landfill.
