STILL A MAN’S WORLD

New Zealand women are still battling to get top senior management positions, a recent whitepaper from global recruitment firm Robert Walters has revealed, with 86 percent of all females surveyed feeling that women are under-represented in leadership positions in business. The majority of women (54 percent) perceive that this gender gap is due to a preference to promote men over women, while the majority of men see the main reason as being due to family pressure.
