TAURANGA GETS NEW ONE-STOP SHOP

The new SuperValue Pyes Pa store, independently owned by Progressive Enterprises, has just opened its doors to customers in Tauranga, as part of Redline Holdings’ $11 million development in the area. Besides the supermarket, the 1.5ha project includes shops, restaurants and a privately-owned aquatic centre.
Open from 7 am to 9 pm every day, the brand-new SuperValue stocks 6000-6500 products and employs 11 staff, but according to owner-operators Tony and Julie Bruce it might create additional job opportunities in the future.

The husband-and-wife team has 35 years’ experience in the grocery industry. They look forward to serving the community, with a focus on customer service. “In the end, we are hoping people don’t just come for bread and milk, but they can do their whole shop here. We have an on-site butcher, Lotto, fresh fruit and vege. It’s a one-stop shop,” said Tony Bruce.
