There are no shortages of bottled water in Wellington’s New World and Pak’nSave stores, according to the latest Foodstuffs’ press release. The company had, in fact, sent 20 additional truckloads to its Palmerston North distribution centre earlier this week.
“Based on the current situation, we are not anticipating any shortages of bottled water as there is sufficient supply within our network,” said Antoinette Laird, head of external relations, Foodstuffs. “All central Wellington stores have confirmed they have well-stocked water shelves, so customers need not be concerned.”
The four stores are open and trading, including New World Wellington City, NW Willis Street, NW Railway and NW Thorndon. The latter is inviting its customers to use Murphy Street for access into the carpark, due to the Molesworth Street closure.
