THIEVES STEAL THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PRODUCTS

Thieves have managed to escape with thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes and tobacco from an Otago supermarket. The pair smashed through the store window and stole roughly $10,000 worth of products. The theft occurred at 2 am at George Street Four Square in Port, Chalmers on Thursday.

Senior Sargent Craig Dinnissen believed that the products were being “stolen to order.” The police are warning store owners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
