Introducing 3 new rotating seasonal beers from Funk Estate.
The boys from Funk Estate like to experiment and release new varieties on a monthly and seasonal basis. To help facilitate this, they’ve started releasing some brews which will help them keep it moving.
First up is Can You Dig It – the first rendition of this is a big 7.3% Chocolate Milk Stout. Malty, roasty coffee, layers of bitter and sweet chocolate combine with a creamy, milk sugar induced finish.
Followed up by Soul Train – to kick this line off, they’ve collaborated with Websters Tea in Tauranga, using their Peach Tea blend in conjunction with a carefully curated selection of US hops for a big punchy, peachy 6.8% Peach Tea IPA.
Lastly – Cosmic Hustle – the first edition has just been released in November as a Strawberry Yoghurt Sour Ale at 5.8%. There’s a whole load of fresh strawberries in this kettle soured ale, and a touch of lactose has been added to provide a slightly creamy texture and some sweetness to balance with the acidity of the beer.
RRP’s: $7.99 Available through Quench Collective – email@example.com 0800 946 326
Fresh for summer, award-winning Yeastie Boys are excited to announce the launch of NZ brewed Yeastie Boys in a can! These are the first two Yeastie Boy beers to be packaged in cans for the New Zealand market and are perfect refreshing drinkers.
Bigmouth (Session IPA. 4.4%) – A light and easy drinker bursting with juicy sun-kissed South Pacific hops. Like a long New Zealand summer in a can.
White Noise (White Beer, 4.4%) – A delicate session-strength beer with hints of orange blossom, coconut, vanilla and a refreshingly dry finish.
Watch out for the rest of our core range to be in cans at some point next year.
Yeastie Boys are a Wellington-born brewing duo (without their own brewery) who have been amongst the leading innovators during the recent rise of craft brewing in New Zealand. The brainchild of Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie – two of New Zealand’s leading beer activists and visionaries – the Yeastie Boys have been brewing deliciously irreverent ales, picking up trophies, poking their tongues out at convention, and receiving critical acclaim since their launch in 2008.
Lowrider is Croucher Brewing’s biggest selling beer and the market leader in the lower alcohol end of the spectrum as demonstrated by trophy at the New Zealand Beer Awards and the Artisan Beer Award at the NZ Food Awards. Lowrider is brewed, using high levels of specialty malts and adjunct grains, by stressing the enzymes that create fermentables creating a beer with good mouthfeel for the alcohol percentage. High levels of American hops gives the beer its distinctive fruity signature. While most supermarkets have a great selection of craft beer, there are few offerings at 2.5% that have proven their market appeal quite as much as Lowrider – A very small IPA.
