8 Wired Brewing has released a new brew that gives a nod to one of New Zealand’s most beloved advertisements. For a while 8 Wired had been wanting to make an alcohol-free beer. The team had been aiming for 0.5 percent alc/vol but the first batch overshot a little and ended up at 1 percent which meant that by law it only qualified as low alcohol. The beer is an East Coast style hazy IPA. “We call it Ghost Chips and you can take my word for it, it is very tasty,” said a spokesperson for the brand. The brew is currently only available by the keg, however, 8 Wired have plans to release it in bottle form sometime next year.
