Cassels & Sons Brewing Co is a family own brewery in Christchurch, who have been brewing on a commercial scale since 2009.  At the heart of the brand and business is a belief in heritage and craftmanship.  Our beer is brewed the way it was hundreds of years ago.  Using pure artesian water and the finest grains and hops, we produce a range of well balanced and approachable beers that will hold wide appeal in the beer market.  In 2017 Cassels & Sons Brewing Co launched their ‘core’ range of bottled beers into the retail market:

Extra Pale Ale, distinct hoppy fruit characters from NZ’s famous Nelson Sauvin hop, this golden Pale Ale is nicely balanced on a soft malt bed and refreshing from start to finish.

Milk Stout, our award-winning NZ interpretation of an old English classic.  Our Milk Stout contains a non-fermentable lactose sugar derived from milk.  Deep black and full bodied with mocha and milk chocolate aromatics, it is smooth with a slightly sweet finish.

Red IPA, launched late 2017 is full-bodied, rich and vibrant.  Our speciality malts add serious complexity with flavours and aromas including dark fruit, raisin, toast and light caramel, balanced by assertive, crisp hop bitterness and perplexing pine, citrus, lime, stone fruit, floral and tropical characters.

Golden Age, our recently launched, highly seasonable beer, light refreshing and moreish yet overflowing with character.  The Wai-iti hops are aromatic, elegant and bring amazing flavours to the nose and palate.  The hop characters of citrus, peach and apricot leap from the lass, finished clean and crisp.

Aroha Drinks are specialists in craft sodas since 2007. With a focus on local ingredients and a production philosophy which values taking the products from start to finish in-house, Aroha is one of the few true craft soda companies in New Zealand. Parleyer Pilsner – an NZ style pilsner coming in at a gentle 4.5%, but packing a nice citrus, and piney hop aroma courtesy of Waimea hops.

Oh Lordy Pale Ale – a fruity pale ale with a nice rounded malt character and some classic NZ passionfruit-y and citrus-y aroma and flavour. 5.5%.

Sophisticuffs IPA – A balanced, bold and beautiful IPA. Hopped with a combo of US and NZ hops over a smooth malty base and packing slightly more of a punch at 6%.

Made in Nelson by husband and wife duo, Pete and Marleen, Pete’s Natural is passionate about making lemonades the traditional way. They fill a niche market, using only freshly squeezed fruit from New Zealand growers, while most other companies use concentrates from overseas.

They embrace what they call ‘fair trade at home’ which means when you’re drinking Pete’s Natural Lemonades, you’re supporting other New Zealand businesses too. Only New Zealand grown fruit is used, freshly squeezed, no concentrates from overseas, they look after our own farmers first.

They buy oranges from Hawke’s Bay, Kerikeri and Gisborne as they don’t grow in the Nelson climate. Other fruit in the drinks range, including blackcurrants, feijoas, lemons and limes comes from Tapawera, Golden Bay and Moutere Valley, while chillies for their Chilli Lemonade are grown in both Hawke’s Bay and Nelson. The Kola is made from a Kola Nut Extract, also again made right here in New Zealand.

Pete and Marleen’s passion has meant they have taken their company from strength to strength – growing the brand from one to nine flavours since 2009. The entire range includes Kola, Lemon Chilli, Lemonade, Ginger Beer, Feijoa, Orange Berry, Currant Crush, Lime-o-nade and most recently, Raspberry Kola in collaboration with Ling & Zing from The Block NZ.

The lemonades are a healthy, nutritious, and delicious alternative to traditional sodas. They are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan-friendly, with about 50 % less sugar than most other sparkling beverages.

Liberty Brewing Co started life in New Plymouth by a home brewer in his garage. The range grew swiftly in popularity, and demand outstripped supply, so the decision was made to focus more heavily on production. Fast forward 4 years, and Liberty has settled in the small West Coast community of Helensville.
