Inspired by the classic French style of butter and best enjoyed slathered on a thick slice of freshly baked bread, this product needs no accompaniment. Its flavour, unique texture and brilliant bite come from the French Guérande sea salt crystals added to its recipes.
“I wanted to make a butter reminiscent of those beautiful butters I have eaten in France that have a real pop of salt in the mouth. Except, of course, I think New Zealand can do better,” said Peter Cullinane, Lewis Road Creamery founder.
