Clare Valley winery Taylors has unveiled a suite of new vintage releases in its flagship Estate range, alongside a special new release of its Estate Tempranillo 2020.
The new release selection of Estate Shiraz, Estate Merlot and Estate Cabernet, retains its ‘house style’ with the dual region fruit selection bringing a degree of excitement to the classic varieties.
Estate Shiraz 2019 has an aroma displaying dark plum, redcurrant and red cherry along with subtle chocolate and a touch of oak-derived spice. The wine is medium-bodied with a soft mid-palate, great texture and enjoyable fruit flavours on the finish.
Estate Merlot 2020 has distinct aromas of black cherries and ripe strawberries. The wine is velvety and medium to full-bodied, balanced by undertones of creamy mocha, spice and subtle savoury characters.
An aroma and flavours of distinctive rich blackcurrant and subtle spice make the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 a wine of great intensity. The palate is well balanced and complex.
The special release Estate Tempranillo 2020 displays rich dark cherry fruit characteristics with hints of spicy incense. The Tempranillo is a seductive, concentrated, medium-bodied wine with a pleasingly soft and silky texture.
