In the lead-up to Easter, limited-edition Oreo Creme Eggs have joined Cadbury's line-up of all-time classics, marking the first time Oreo becomes available in an Easter egg in New Zealand. The launch follows the success of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo block, released last year.

"Kiwis have demonstrated that they love the combination of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate with the world's number one biscuit, and so we decided to bring the Cadbury Oreo Easter Egg deliciousness to New Zealand," said James Kane, NZ country head, Mondelez.

These crunchy, miniature treats are another match made in heaven, featuring delicious milk chocolate eggshell filled with fragments of Oreo biscuits and sugary vanilla cream. Additionally, the product is packaged in a new plastic shell that is easy to peel open. The eggs have recently hit NZ shelves, coming in a range of different packs: from 34g individual eggs ($1.69 each) to 190g gift boxes.

To please all palates, more ‘traditional’ Cadbury Creme Eggs are also available.

“While they share a similar eating occasion, that’s where the similarities end,” said the company in a statement. “Cadbury Creme Eggs and Cadbury Oreo Easter eggs are two very different tasting eggs."
