Brown Brothers has announced the launch of its Limited-Edition Prosecco in Aluminium Bottles, a packaging innovation designed for sustainability, convenience, and modern celebration.
This first-to-market release reimagined sparkling wine packaging with a format that’s lightweight, infinitely recyclable, and made for today’s on-the-go lifestyles.
The 750mL aluminium bottle is 40 percent lighter than glass, chills faster, and has eliminated the need for secondary packaging such as labels or sleeves, simplifying the recycling process and reducing environmental impact.
Bringing this innovation to life has been a two-year journey in close partnership with CCL Industries, a global leader in aluminium packaging.

“The bottle features 8-colour print capability, delivering strong shelf presence and talkability, especially during key selling periods like summer and the lead-up to Christmas. It’s a standout example of how design and sustainability can go hand in hand."
Crafted in the King Valley, the home of Brown Brothers since 1889, this release has been incremental to the core Non-Vintage and Rosé Prosecco range, offering a fresh format that appeals to both loyal fans and new consumers.
It’s also a strategic move in a growing category as Prosecco is up +11 percent YoY in a flat wine market, with only 30 percent penetration among wine drinkers, highlighting significant headroom for growth.
As a fourth-generation family-owned winery, Brown Brothers has continued to lead wine innovation, appealing to both loyal fans and new consumers. This aluminium bottle pairs the vibrant, crisp taste of Brown Brothers Prosecco with a forward-thinking format that’s both functional and eco-friendly.
Inside the bottle is Brown Brothers Premium Prosecco Brut, the pinnacle of the Brown Brothers Prosecco range. Vibrant, dry and refreshing, it bursts with crisp apple and citrus aromas, finished with fine, delicate bubbles.
The Limited-Edition Aluminium Prosecco Bottle (750ml) is now available nationally across leading liquor retailers and all domestic channels in New Zealand and Australia, as well as online.
