USA | Key characters from the Star Wars saga will be featured on limited-edition cans and bottles of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero as part of a global campaign celebrating the power of shared passions to unite and uplift.

“Coca‑Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy” builds on the immersive storytelling and collaborative experiences anchoring the 70-year relationship between Disney and Coca‑Cola.

Starting in July, the collectable cans will hit stores in select markets across North America, Latin America, Europe, Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.

Scannable QR codes on limited-edition packaging and out-of-home creative will unlock an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience where fans can record a video of themselves and share uplifting messages of community and connection in the style of a Star Wars hologram transmission.

“Coca‑Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy” also features a cinematic commercial set, appropriately, in a movie theatre. From discovering the hum of a lightsaber to experiencing movie marathons, to enjoying a refreshing, effervescent Coca‑Cola with popcorn, the cinema has been the quintessential venue for filmgoers to be transported to a galaxy far, far away.

Shorter-form digital content will tell a unique story that blends the iconic Coca-Cola brand with the legendary storytelling of Star Wars.

Influencers from around the world got a sneak peek at the collectable cans and bottles, AR experience, and creative elements during a special media event at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.

Coca‑Cola’s relationship with Disney in the United States began 70 years ago at the opening of Disneyland Resort. Since then, the relationship has expanded to Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Throughout the years, the two brands have collaborated on a series of innovative campaigns and co-branded experiences. Last summer, Coca-Cola x Marvel: The Heroes collection featured illustrations of over 30 characters from across the Marvel Universe on Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar bottles and cans.

In 2019, Coca‑Cola and Disney teamed up to create spherical “orb” bottles of Diet Coke, Sprite and DASANI available only at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
