End The Pulp Friction

Keri Juice's End the Pulp Friction Campaign Squeezes Fun Out of Kiwi Food Debates

Keri Juice has tapped into a universal truth that Kiwis have opinions, especially about food.

The End The Pulp Friction campaign playfully explored one of New Zealand's most passionate and hilariously passive-aggressive food debates: smooth or pulpy juice? And Keri Juice has been doing it with a fun musical twist.

Kiwis might be known for their laid-back attitudes, but they have strong opinions about their culinary preferences. These seemingly small choices, from pineapple on pizza to the perfect sausage sizzle, have ignited fiery debates.

Keri Juice has recognised this inner passion and has given people a platform to finally unleash their foodie fury, starting with the excellent juice divide.

The centrepiece of the "End The Pulp Friction" campaign has been a music video starring New Zealand's leading comedy duo, Laura Daniel and Joseph Moore.

In an upbeat, tongue-in-cheek pop anthem, the two battle it out, representing the comical clash between #TeamSmooth and #TeamPulpy. The music video showed them embodying the passionate and often over-the-top arguments for each side.

From epic kitchen showdowns, dramatic juice spills, and lyrics that perfectly capture the absurdity of the pulp debate, the song's playful lyrics and infectious beat will have viewers choosing a side and maybe even dancing along.

"We wanted to create a campaign that resonated with Kiwis' sense of humour and acknowledged their passion for food preferences," said Tracey Evans, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola New Zealand.

“The End The Pulp Friction campaign is a light-hearted way of embracing the playful side of these debates and reminding everyone that whether you're #TeamSmooth or #TeamPulpy, Keri Juice has got you covered."

The music video is more than just entertainment; it is an invitation to Kiwis to join the #PulpFriction conversation and share their own #TeamSmooth or #TeamPulpy stories and declare their allegiance.
