AUSTRALIA | Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) announced the retirement of Peter West, Vice President and General Manager of the Australia, Pacific and South-East Asia (APS) business unit, effective the 31st of December 2025.
West’s retirement marked the close of an extraordinary career spanning nearly four decades in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, having held leading roles at the likes of Lion Dairy & Drinks, Mars Confectionery, and Arnott’s, prior to joining Coca-Cola Amatil in 2018 as Managing Director of Australian Beverages.
Since then, West has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of Coca-Cola’s business in the region. His leadership was instrumental in revitalising the Australian business and guiding it through one of its most significant transformations – the acquisition of Coca-Cola Amatil by Coca-Cola European Partners in 2021, today known as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
“Peter’s contribution to CCEP in Australia and the broader region has been transformative. His deep understanding of the industry and landscape, along with his ability to drive growth across diverse markets, have made him a respected figure within our business and beyond," said Damian Gammell, CEO of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
Following Amatil’s acquisition, West became the inaugural Vice President and General Manager of the newly formed Australia, Pacific and Indonesia Business Unit, which was later expanded to include South-East Asia when the business jointly acquired Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines with Aboitiz Equity Ventures.
Under his stewardship, the APS region was successfully integrated into CCEP, while the Australian market – led by Managing Director, Orlando Rodriguez – has continued to grow and is fourth-largest contributor to CCEP’s global revenue.
“As Peter prepares for his retirement at the end of this year, we thank him for his leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to operational excellence. He leaves a lasting legacy – not only in business results but in the strength of the leadership team and culture he helped build.”
West will work closely with Gareth McGeown, current General Manager of the Philippines, to ensure a smooth leadership transition before McGeown officially stepped into the role of VP and GM for APS on the 1st of January 2026.
