Founded in 2016, Hamilton-based Milkio Foods will showcase its premium grass-fed ghee and butter range for retail, foodservice, and bulk formats at the upcoming Gulfood 2026 event in Dubai.
Rajesh Chatterjee, founder of Milkio Foods, said that consumer demand has shifted strongly toward grass-fed, clean-label, high-nutrition, natural dairy fats, and Milkio Foods’ products directly addressed this trend.
With zero additives, high smoke points, and benefits for keto, paleo, and traditional cooking, the business’ offerings align with global preferences for healthier, functional, and provenance-driven dairy fats.
According to Chatterjee, Gulfood has become the world’s most influential platform for food exporters, with the Middle East being a top market and one of the fastest-growing regions.
“Being at Gulfood allows us to meet importers, distributors, retail buyers, and food service partners who prioritise premium dairy ingredients,” said Chatterjee.
“We want visitors to walk away with a clear understanding of Milkio’s New Zealand origin, quality assurance, grass-fed advantage, and strong supply chain capability.”
The most significant opportunity, he mentioned, was in the growing global awareness of the nutritional benefits of grass-fed dairy fats and the shift away from processed oils toward natural dairy fats like ghee and butter.
Although the demand from health-driven consumers, functional nutrition brands, and food service operators has continued to rise, Chatterjee highlighted that the main challenge will be maintaining stable pricing and supply commitments in a highly volatile global dairy market. Exporters must balance cost pressures while upholding product quality and sustainable sourcing.
Milkio Foods welcomes trade partners, retailers, and distributors to visit its stand at Gulfood 2026 to explore collaboration opportunities.
