SIAL Innovation, also known as the "Oscars of the Food Industry," was created in 1996 and has become a global food and beverage innovation platform. The products that win awards from SIAL Innovation will receive international attention and recognition from the food industry.
Companies that have won awards note that it resulted in a 6.7 percent boost in sales.
Benefits for shortlisted and winning products include having their Gold, silver, and bronze award-winning products displayed in the Innovation sections of the SIAL Network from 2024 to 2025, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Paris, France, Montreal, Canada, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.
They will also be featured in the official video released by SIAL Shanghai. Winners will have the opportunity to speak at the concurrent SIAL Global Food Industry Summit of SIAL Shanghai.
After the exhibition, the top ten winners will be highlighted with a post from SIAL’s official WeChat account. They will also have a media interview at the exhibition and the opportunity to launch new products on-site.
Shortlisted products can use the “SIAL Innovation 2024” logo for free on packaging for promotion.
Requirements for participating products include new products developed or released after May 2023 and edible processed food. Applicants are required to own the intellectual property rights of the participating products.
The property rights owner must authorise distributors or non-manufacturer applicants to submit. Each company may apply with more than one product.
The application period for SIAL Innovation 2024 officially started this February and will end on April 22nd, 2024.
