CHINA | The fourth edition of SIAL Guangzhou has reinforced Guangzhou’s position as a strategic gateway connecting China’s food and beverage market with the wider Asian region.
Bringing together more than 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions and showcasing over 100,000 F&B products, the three-day exhibition attracted 66,517 trade professionals and facilitated 5,883 matchmaking sessions.
As a premier international trade platform in South China, SIAL Guangzhou generated over EUR 1.3 billion in prospective deals, highlighting the scale of business opportunities generated at the show and across the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

SIAL Guangzhou 2026 attracted buyers from 32 provincial-level administrative regions and 449 cities across China, with strong participation from key retail and distribution channels in South China and the Greater Bay Area.
International buyer participation rose sharply, with procurement teams from Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Australia, and beyond. Many delegations were led by senior decision-makers, including C-level executives and procurement directors with direct purchasing authority.
Leading retailers and distributors attended the show alongside sourcing delegations from 72 national industry associations across 48 cities and 35 major wholesale markets. These buyers represented channels spanning major supermarket chains, community fresh-food retail, restaurant chains, institutional catering, discount retail, and livestream e-commerce.
Bridging China & Asia
SIAL Guangzhou strengthened its role in connecting China with regional and international markets. Procurement teams attended from across Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and beyond.
Key buyer delegations included Thailand’s CPF Group, Indonesia’s Eramas Agri International, the Philippines’ Damon International, Singapore’s Culina, Vietnam’s Ganh Hao Seafood Restaurant, and Vietnam’s Annam Group. Their participation brought international sourcing demand directly to the show floor, creating new opportunities for cross-border business and market expansion.
On-Site Business Results
SIAL Guangzhou 2026 generated a range of commercial outcomes across the show floor, from major project agreements and on-site orders to new international sourcing partnerships, including diverse categories:
- Zhangye Delegation: Signed 25 project agreements with a prospective value exceeding EUR 83 million
- Zhaotian Ecological Agriculture: Secured EUR 5.2 million in orders on Day 1
- Nihewan: Secured preliminary cooperation agreements with buyers from the Philippines, Mongolia, Singapore, and Hong Kong SAR, with an initial prospective value of EUR 210,000
- Thai Buyer Delegation & Codex: Secured a long-term procurement agreement, alongside plans for sample testing and trial shipments of Fujian pork jerky and other specialty meats.
- Vietnamese Foodservice Delegation: Entered sourcing agreements with Guizhou suppliers for sour-soup seasonings, Rosa roxburghii beverages, and preserved eggs.
- Dutch Buyers: Reached a preliminary agreement with Leiqia Instant Noodles for an initial shipment of ten shipping containers.
SIAL Guangzhou also expanded its Match Me business matchmaking service, connecting buyers and exhibitors through pre-show matching, on-site meetings, and post-show follow-up.
Alongside dedicated meeting rooms and category-focused matchmaking sessions, the SIAL ELITE HOUR International Buyers Club brought selected VIP buyers together for networking and business discussions.
Face-to-face meetings enabled exhibitors and buyers to review samples, discuss production capacity, and negotiate commercial terms on-site.
