AUSTRALIA | Metcash has announced that six independent, family-founded retailers across its food, liquor and hardware networks have been awarded major prize packages.
As part of its Big Family, Big Prizes campaign, supported by Visa, the retailer prize draw followed the success of the in-store shopper competition, which ran throughout July across Metcash-supported brands, including IGA, IGA Local Grocer, Foodland, Mitre 10, Home Hardware, Total Tools, Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O and Porters Liquor.
The campaign generated more than 85,000 consumer entries and resulted in 14,000 instant winners and three major prize winners.
Participating independent retailers were entered into a separate draw for the chance to win prizes valued at up to AUD 75,000, recognising their role in bringing the competition to life in-store and engaging local shoppers across the country.
Store winners:
– The Bottle-O at Humpty Doo Tavern, NT
– The Bottle-O at Blaxland Tavern, NSW
– Woodmans Mitre 10 Beenleigh, QLD
– Total Tools Clyde North, VIC
– IGA Plus Liquor, Denman Prospect, ACT
