AUSTRALIA | Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has partnered once again with major supermarket Coles to support food relief organisation SecondBite for the third consecutive year.
Food insecurity continues to rise. A recent Coles survey found that one in five Australians, or 21 percent, are skipping meals, while one in four, or 26 percent, are reducing their portion sizes to make ends meet.
As winter brings additional financial pressure, many Australians are forced to choose between heating their homes and buying enough food.
From the 25th of June to the 22nd of July 2025, CCEP will donate 20 cents to SecondBite for every Mount Franklin product sold at Coles supermarkets, in-store and online, with a maximum contribution of AUD 250,000.
This doubles last year’s contribution of 10 cents per bottle and reflects CCEP’s growing commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates.
SecondBite has played a crucial role in addressing this need. The organisation rescues surplus food from growers, manufacturers, and Coles stores, distributing it to more than 1,000 charity partners.
“As more Australians face the harsh realities of food insecurity, especially during the colder months, our partnership with Coles and SecondBite is more important than ever,” said Jarrad Mortimer, Vice President of At Home Sales at CCEP Australia.
“We’re proud to play a role in helping ensure that nutritious food reaches those who need it most, when they need it most.”
SecondBite CEO Daniel Moorfield said funds raised will enable SecondBite to feed more people across Australia via its extensive network of delivery vans, FareShare kitchens and community food partners.
“The Coles SecondBite Winter Appeal is a lifeline for many Australians seeking food relief this winter. These Australians asking for help can be your neighbour, a work colleague or a friend,” he said.
Coles has proudly supported SecondBite since 2011. In that time, it has helped donate the equivalent of more than 290 million meals through rescued, edible surplus food collected from stores and distribution centres nationwide.
Australians can support the 2025 Winter Appeal by purchasing any Mount Franklin product in-store or online at Coles. Donations can also be made directly to SecondBite through their website. Every bottle sold helps provide food to someone in need this winter.
