Although it’s made with matcha powder, this tea’s real green credentials come from its reduced environmental impact. 10th Avenue Tea was invented last year by two parents who enjoyed a cup of tea, but didn’t have time for it to steep. They quickly discovered an added benefit to powdered tea was that it didn’t require a tea bag, saving significantly on waste. It took Ann Foley and Morgan Walsh several years to refine the product, which is healthy, convenient, and eco-friendly. The Chicago-based company is now available in more than 275 stores around the US, including Target. The matcha-based powders come in five variants: Green Tea, Chai Tea, Black Tea, Herbal Berry Tea, and Tropical Tea. There are 45 servings per 27g bottle.
