Morrisons is the cheapest place in the UK to buy groceries online. According to consumer group Which? Morrisons is rated the most economical place to purchase food and various household items online. This is the second year in a row that Morrisons has been rated the cheapest place to shop—coming in £14.33 cheaper per basket for the same items at Waitrose. Inversely, Waitrose has been the most expensive supermarket for three years running.

Stores were compared based on branded items that each supermarket stocked. Prices were monitored online as well as data for each month in 2018. Following the festive season, everyone will be looking to save money wherever they can—switching to online and avoiding branded items may be an excellent way to do this, according to Which? Editor, Harry Rose.
