AUS | In an Australian supermarket first, Woolworths is introducing the new Fairy Bread Hot Cross Bun, available in Woolworths Supermarkets and Metro stores nationwide across Australia. Customers can now enjoy the magic of Fairy Bread on a Hot Cross Bun, a nostalgic treat synonymous with Australian kids' parties. Each Fairy Bread Hot Cross Bun comes with a packet of hundreds and thousands, allowing customers to butter and sprinkle to their liking, reminiscent of the traditional Fairy Bread experience.
Additionally, the indulgent Cadbury Caramilk Hot Cross Bun, a consistent customer favourite since its debut in 2021, is returning to stores in partnership with Cadbury.
Donald Keith, Woolworths Hot Cross Bun Expert and Bakery Merchandise Manager shared the excitement surrounding the new offerings.
“We’ve come out all buns glazing with the launch of our new Fairy Bread Hot Cross Bun and return of our Cadbury Caramilk Hot Cross Buns, a customer favourite," said Keith.
Woolworths' broader Hot Cross Bun range, including the award-winning traditional fruit bun, is in store alongside these special editions.
The popular Apple Cinnamon flavour is returning to the Indulgent range, made with 100 percent Australian-sourced Pink Lady apples. Woolworths will continue its partnership with Mondelez to use Cadbury chocolate in the Indulgent and Brioche ranges, featuring the Brioche Cadbury Chocolate 6-pack and Indulgent Chocolate 6-pack, both containing smooth and creamy Cadbury chocolate chips.
This year, Woolworths is catering to diverse dietary preferences with the return of the Gluten-Free range, offering the Apple Cinnamon flavour alongside Traditional Fruit and Chocolate variants.
