Angry Orchard and Crown Finish have teamed up to create a limited-edition rosé cider washed cheese. The rose-hued cheese is a creamy blend of both cow and sheep’s milk which has then been washed for two weeks in the Angry Orchard Cider. The taste notes describe it as having a subtle apple taste and long buttery finish.
“We’re thrilled to bring cider and cheese together with Crown Finish Caves in an unexpected way with this Rosé cider washed the cheese,” said Ryan Burk, head cider maker at Angry Orchard.
“We are always excited to try new mediums for cheese washing, especially ciders, so when Saxelby Cheesemongers approached us about the Angry Orchard project, we were intrigued,” added Benton Brown, co-owner at Crown Finish Caves.
