Golden North ice cream has been named Australia's best ice cream brand for the second year in a row by Canstar Blue.
The small manufacturer is based in rural South Australia. Their ice cream came out on top in Canstar Blue's independent survey of more than 1300 consumers nationally. Taste, consistency, variety, and overall satisfaction were all assessed by the survey.
Golden North hope that the result will help get the word out to a wider audience about their product. "People are creatures of habit and they buy the same brands every week," Trevor Pomery, the company's marketing director, told Dairy Reporter. "But if they see the Canstar Blue logo on our packs, it's a reason for them to change what they've always done and try something new."
