When she bought an Italian-style salad mix from Woolworths store in Sydney, yesterday morning, Australian woman Zoe Perry made an eerie discovery; almost, but not quite, camouflaged amongst the greens was a huge spider, barely alive.
It turned out to be a huntsman spider—a species that can measure up to 16 cm across but, despite its intimidating appearance, is not toxic to humans. Much to Perry’s horror, however, the unwanted ‘extra’ could even be seen moving inside the bag. She later shared a video on Facebook for everyone to enjoy, which obviously went viral.
A representative from Woolworths said they took such incidents very seriously and would get in touch with the woman.
