An unmanned teleoperated robot courier has made its first delivery in Londerzeel, Belgium. The courier named CLEVON 1 is part of phase one of delivery operations from online grocery Collect&Co, by the Colruyt Group.
The CLEVON 1 has travelled over 1000 kilometres in two months. Phase two of its operations, which include private grocery delivery, also allows customers to return folded boxes and empty bottles in the courier.
The technology was also recently introduced in the USA and Lithuania and was Europe's first autonomous delivery technology.
