Kraft Heinz has released a statement sharing that its values compelled the brand to be a global corporate citizen, to give back to its communities, and lend its expertise and resources to help address significant environmental and societal challenges.

One of its company values is ‘We do the right thing’, and everything it does grows from there. From our pledge of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, to provide 1.5 billion meals to people in need worldwide by 2025 and its aim of making 100 percent recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging by 2025.

Kraft Heinz is committed to working within its operations and with its suppliers and business partners to achieve long-term transformation through initiatives aimed at positive climate, biodiversity and water outcomes.

Therefore, Kraft Heinz has announced its Deforestation and Conversion-Free Policy detailing its commitment to respecting forests and nature and eliminating deforestation and natural ecosystem conversion from our supply chain.

Developed with guidance from the Accountability Framework initiative guidance and the Science Based Target Initiative’s Forest, Land and Agriculture Guidance, the Policy includes long-term protection and remediation where necessary for priority raw materials, including palm oil, sugar, beef, dairy, cocoa, coffee, pulp, paper and packaging.
