IRELAND | Lidl has launched a Supplier Development Programme from Kickstart.
Lidl's Kickstart Supplier Development Programme offers small and medium-sized local producers the chance to supply their high-quality products to over 200 stores on the island of Ireland and the opportunity to secure a permanent assortment listing.
The program is aimed at providing producers with the chance to enhance their product, brand, and business with consistent support from Lidl experts.
On Thursday, the 19th of September, Lidl will introduce 53 products from 46 local producers, representing all regions of Ireland, to all its stores.
It now has 14 products listed permanently in its stores from suppliers who have completed the supplier development program. These include Woodwin, Kin & Kind, Applewood Farm, and Fused by Fiona Uyema.
Kin & Kind’s Hellbent as well as Woodwin’s Holmes Bakery Flakemeal & Butter Shortbread Biscuits and Fifteens and Caramel Fingers, were first introduced in 2021 and have now been made permanent.
Ballyhouta Apple Cider Vinegar from Applewood Farms was also exported to the US in 2022 as part of an Irish promo in Lidl US.
Seven years since it began, over two million has been invested in Kickstart supplier development through the programme since 2018, with over 600 products on Lidl shelves since 2017.
