CROATIA | SPAR Croatia has opened its eighth supermarket in Rijeka, offering customers an extensive range of fresh products, ready meals and energy-efficient solutions.
The new supermarket is located in a well-established urban neighbourhood close to Rijeka city centre and serves residents and commuters from the surrounding area for their everyday shopping needs.
Covering nearly 400m², the new supermarket offers customers an extensive range of food and non-food products. Key features include fresh fruit and vegetables, a self-service bakery, a delicatessen department and chilled convenience products.
A dedicated service and self-service section offers freshly prepared warm meals daily. Customers can also use four self-service checkouts for a faster, more convenient shopping experience.
The opening has created nine new jobs for team members from Rijeka and the surrounding area.
The supermarket has been fitted with energy-efficient systems, including modern refrigerated display cases, heat pumps for heating and cooling, and LED lighting. These features help to reduce energy consumption and support more efficient operations.
To mark the opening, SPAR Croatia donated EUR 2,000 to the Public Fire Brigade of Rijeka in support of its important work protecting the local community and property.
