Waitrose Canary Wharf will soon be home to the first in-store GAIL takeaway bakery. The opening comes a year after dedicated GAIL bakery areas were introduced within 64 Waitrose stores.
The bakery will be 280 sq ft in size and built with GAIL's unique style. Customers can shop for a range of bread, baked goods, and specialty coffee, all freshly prepared on-site. They can also order through GAIL's click-and-collect service, which will also offer home and office delivery for its sharing ranges.
This announcement has reinforced Waitrose’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through upgrades, refurbishments and new openings.
“Building on our successful partnership with the launch of a new and innovative GAIL bakery is hugely exciting,” said Nathan Ansell, Customer Director at Waitrose.
“Synonymous with quality, expertise, and taste, GAIL reflects our core values, and we know how much our food-loving customers enjoy their products.”
Marta Pogroszweska, GAIL’s Managing Director, was also delighted to strengthen the partnership with Waitrose further and welcome the community as Waitrose Canary Wharf has accounted for nearly five percent of GAIL’s total Waitrose sales.
The new GAIL takeaway bakery will open on 6 June 2024.
