AMAZON OPENS CHECKOUT-LESS STORE

Amazon has opened its first store with no checkout in Seattle using the most advanced shopping technology. The new checkout-free store implements a 'Just Walk Out' shopping experience means customers never have to wait in line. By using the Amazon Go app to enter the store, customers can just pick up the products they want and go. The checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by the same types of technologies used in self-driving cars: computer vision, sensor fusion, and deep learning. The store automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. After leaving the store, the receipt is sent via email and is charged to the customers Amazon account.

Inside the Amazon Go store are various food-to-go options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as well as grocery essentials and meal kits.
