With the plastic-free trend continuing to grow among both consumers and businesses, Essano is the latest brand to make an environmentally conscious change to their products. New Zealand’s number one grocery natural skincare brand has also become the first in Australasia to launch a range of 100 percent recycled shampoo and conditioner bottles.
The new bottles are made from rPET a form of plastic that is 100 percent pre-used, recycled material that is also 100 percent recyclable. Containing 25 percent less plastic than other haircare ranges on the market, the new amber bottle will remove 14 tonnes of plastic from the environment every year.
In addition to the new rPET bottles, Essano has also joined the New Zealand Plastic Packaging Declaration alongside other forward-thinking companies who are locally and globally committed to converting to 100 percent reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2025 or earlier.
The bottles will also feature a new packaging design that features a ‘Hair to Help’ scale, designed to help consumers quickly identify which product is best suited to each individual hair type, as well as adding a pink lid to its conditioner bottles to make the distinction between the two more obvious.
Essano’s range of products is made from a minimum of 90 percent natural ingredients with no parabens, sulphates, nitrosamines, DEA, MEA, Ethoxylates, PEGs, PPGs, phthalates, GMOs, Mineral Oils or Animal testing.
The bottles will be available on supermarket shelves late September.
