Envy In 60 Countries

Envy apples on tree

This season’s first exports of New Zealand-grown premium Envy™ apples are underway from T&G and its growers across Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne and Nelson. Approximately two million cartons of Envy apples will be exported to consumers in 60 countries across Asia, North America, the UK and Europe over the course of the season.

Global demand for Envy apples is strong, as the apples arrive at the perfect time to build on the Northern Hemisphere growing season. In Asia last year, New Zealand-grown Envy apples sold out ahead of schedule.

“Without a doubt the industry faces considerable pressure this season, with labour shortages and congestion in global shipping networks. Our team is being creative in solving these head-on and doing everything we can to deliver another exceptional Envy crop,” said Craig Betty, T&G’s Global Director of Operations.

Envy™ apples are a beautiful red, larger in size with a balanced sweetness, fresh aroma and satisfying crunch.
