After four years of cancellations, the World Butchers Challenge took place in Golden 1 Centre in Sacramento, USA. With a record number of 13 countries competing, the winners will be crowned at the awards ceremony tomorrow evening.

During the competition, each team had three and a half hours to turn a side of beef, a side of pork, a whole lamb and five chickens into a themed display of value-added cuts.

On the same day, the World's Best Young Butchers and Apprentice's faced off in a competition with entrants breaking down a range of primal cuts into a display of pre-determined products and their creations in 2.5 hours.
