First in 25 Years for Arnott’s

New Arnott's manufactuing facility for the first time in 25 years

For the first time in 25 years, Arnott's has announced the construction of a new manufacturing site. The multi-million-dollar facility is set for construction in Avondale, West Auckland and will open in early 2023.

Today's announcement comes one year after the Arnott's group purchased local artisan cracker company, 180degress. The site will become the company's hub for premium savoury entertaining products and will be led by the 180degrees range.

“After 25 years, we look forward to re-opening a designated Arnott’s Group facility in New Zealand  with a renewed sense of agility and innovation that will help to support our regional aspiration of  becoming a powerhouse of consumer food brands.” Said George Zoghbi, Arnott's Chief Executive Officer.

“The new site will unlock significant opportunity for the 180degrees brand as it continues to grow  both domestically and in Australia, and drive growth in the premium entertaining category for Arnott’s.”

The new facility will home state of the art machinery, and become a true hub for food innovation. It will also create dozens of new manufacturing jobs and support many local suppliers.

“We started 180degrees 21 years ago with a small range of handmade biscuits and a small but loyal following. Today, together with The Arnott’s Group, we’ve been able to grow our consumer base and continue to create products jam-packed with the character and flavour that has always  epitomised who we are.“ Said Nigel Cranston, Co-founder of 180degrees.
