FONTERRA MANAGING DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED

Fonterra has this morning announced the co-operative's new managing director. Brett Henshaw, who currently works as the managing director for Griffin’s Food will begin his new role at Fonterra Brands, New Zealand in the first week of December.

“We are excited about Brett joining the team. He has an extensive 30-year career in FMCG, and we are pleased he is coming on board. Brett has a strong commercial and strategic focus as well as end-to-end experience across the supply chain, including manufacturing and operations.  He is also recognised for the emphasis he places on people – a culture of mentoring, development, teamwork and open communication is important to him,” said Lukas Paravicini, Fonterra chief operating officer, global consumer and foodservice.

Henshaw has held many positions around the globe with previous roles in Sydney, Singapore, New York and the UK. In the past, he has held a brand position at Unilever and various senior marketing roles with Colgate-Palmolive. In 2015 Henshaw was selected for the role of chief marketing officer at the Griffin’s Food Company and in 2016 became the managing director.

“I’m looking forward to taking up this key leadership role in Fonterra Brands and working with the broader Fonterra team. As a Kiwi, who has worked overseas for many years before joining Griffin’s, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Fonterra Brands team on some of New Zealand’s most loved brands,” added Henshaw.
