Matt Humphrey, new owner-operator for Gilmours Mt Roskill, has owned Gilmours Wellington for the last ten years and enjoyed building a strong connection with the foodservice industry there.
He said that Wellington was very innovative and he and his wife enjoyed their time in a vibrant environment, growing the business significantly and providing the best service in the market.
“Auckland is home, and Jo and I are very excited to be coming back. This is where our family and life-long friends are, and we love the lifestyle and cultural variety that Auckland provides,” said Humphrey.
“We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to take over the business from Aaron, who has done an amazing job for the past 16 years. Like Aaron, we also take a long-term view, and we look forward to building strong partnerships with our customers. We will continue to aim to be the foodservice partner you can trust.”
Humphrey looked forward to building on his decade-long experience. He said Gilmours Mt Roskill is a great business with a great team, built on a very strong customer focus, and his goal will be to continue providing the best service in the market to its valued customers.
“I am a salesperson first and foremost, so I am keen to get out and meet as many customers as I can. We are keen to provide what our customers need, so we are open to stocking what is required and providing the best service in the market.”
