PAK’nSAVE Highland Park has wrapped up a series of store upgrades designed to make shopping better suited to the way East Auckland locals like to shop.
Owner-operator Wade Brown said the updates reflect what customers told the team they wanted more of.
“People told us what would make their weekly shop easier, so that’s what we’ve focused on. Our new Click & Collect drive-through and bigger seafood section are all about making life a bit simpler for shoppers and giving them more choice,” he mentioned.
The store’s new drive-through Click & Collect service allows customers to order online, park in the dedicated collection area on the side of the store, and have groceries brought straight to their boot. The service is designed to help customers save time, avoid queues and stay dry on wet days.
Highland Park customers are among the biggest fresh-fish shoppers across the PAK’nSAVE network. To meet that demand, the store has transformed part of the neighbouring retail space into a dedicated walk-in seafood section.
The new area keeps the temperature consistently cool, creates a local seafood market feel, and gives customers access to a wider range of fresh fish and seafood. Team members can also gut and gill fish to order at the staffed seafood counter.
“People have been asking for more seafood options since we opened, so it’s great to be able to offer that," said Store Manager, Rohit Arora.
"The walk-in layout means they can browse easily, see everything on offer, and talk to the team about filleting. Fillet sales have already jumped nearly 10 percent.”
At the same time, Brown added that the store is committed to getting even better.
“We’re always listening to our customers and making changes that help them shop the way that suits them best.”
