Invivo Takes A Bite Out Of The Big Apple

In an unprecedented win for a Kiwi wine company, Invivo & Co has won three gold medals and two trophies for their wines made in collaboration with partners Sarah Jessica Parker and Graham Norton.

Out of 1,400 wines and 24 wine-producing countries who entered, Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker picked up a gold for Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc and Invivo X, SJP Rose from the South of France, plus Trophy for Europe’s Rosé of the Year.

Parker, who is currently filming the much-anticipated revival of Sex in the City “And Just Like That…”  in the streets of New York, launched the Invivo X, SJP wine brand back in 2019 with her Kiwi business partners Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron. The wine range has gone on to sell over 700,000 bottles globally, receiving two 90-point ratings from Wine Spectator and rated in their Top 100 Wines of the World in 2020, from over 10,000 wines tasted.

Parker shared the news with her 6.9 million Instagram followers over the weekend and the post has clocked up around 400,000 likes worldwide already, making it one of the top wine posts on Instagram of 2021.

Parker, cofounder of Invivo X, SJP, commented “We are proud, and stunned, and honoured and delighted and ready to toast the weekend and all those who have included us in their homes, on their tables, at their parties, for special moments and celebrations.”

She added, “It was a real treat to be able to further immerse myself in the winemaking and blending process with my Invivo X, SJP partners Tim and Rob, for our second vintage of our much-loved Sauvignon Blanc. We are honoured to share our enthusiasm for this special wine from Marlborough, New Zealand with wine lovers everywhere and are thrilled to have received some remarkable recognitions.”

Parker has been involved in the complete winemaking process with her Invivo winery partners Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron, from blending to the design of the bottle and merchandising, and even serving on the board of Invivo & Co. Making a difference in the community is hugely important to Invivo X, SJP and the range currently supports FEED – an impact-driven brand founded by Lauren Bush Lauren. Each month, from the proceeds of Invivo X, SJP sales, 27,500 meals are donated to school children worldwide through FEED’s on-the-ground giving partners.

Invivo was also awarded a gold and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine of the year for Graham Norton’s Own Sauvignon Blanc 2020. The collaboration with Norton has gone from strength to strength over the past eight years, and the business partners are on track to produce their 15 millionth bottle of wine from the 2021 vintages. The range now includes five wines and two gins, with more wines and spirits launching summer of 2021/2022.

Tim Lightbourne, cofounder of Invivo & Co commented “We’ve been blown away by the award wins – it’s the first time we’ve won three golds and two trophies at the New York International wine comp, and the hype around the world has been phenomenal this weekend. The quality of the wines is testament to Rob and the rest of the winemaking team along with collab partners Sarah Jessica Parker and Graham Norton. We put a lot of care into every step of the process. We’re just delighted to receive these accolades and looking forward to a strong second half of the year.”
