Rumours suggesting that Countdown was planning to move its present site to a new business park in Invercargill, currently under development by Russell Cunningham Properties and formerly known as the Invercargill Showgrounds, have been quashed by the supermarket chain itself.
So far no supermarket has been confirmed for the area, which has Farmlands, RD1 and FMG Insurance among its confirmed tenants.
